How to turn your backyard into a pop-up battlefield

One of the best features of our portable laser skirmish hire is that you can hold it anywhere. A backyard, a park, a community hall or many more creative places. 

You can always hire one of our bunker packages, but often you don't need to! The best Laser Tag events often play in an environment where we can use already existing structures, or the natural environment to hide behind. 

Trees, playgrounds, walls, other structures shrubbery often provide a perfect environment to play around. 



What makes for a perfect Laser Tag playing environment:

Two Team Bases: Each team needs a dedicated area where they can strategise and re-group. In a backyard, this could be two opposite corners, or if you have a larger area, choose spots that provide a bit of cover, like behind trees, sheds, or outdoor furniture.

Cover and Obstacles: The key to an exciting game is having lots of cover to hide behind and dodge around between the two team bases. Look for things like trees, large bushes, fences, walls, or even just cardboard boxes and outdoor furniture. Customers have even parked their cars to be used as a barrier! You can get creative with what you have on hand: use large garden pots, stack up some cardboard boxes, or use lying around objects like barrels to create a dynamic and engaging field.


Creative Props: To take it up a notch, you could add a few themed elements. Items like camo nets add a cool "military" vibe to the whole experience. 




Something to keep in mind:
As laser tag works with infra-red light, make sure that you can't see through any of the obstacles you use for Laser Tag, otherwise you'll be able to shoot through them and they won't be of much use!
